We're seeking two Vice Presidents to lead and grow the healthcare practice for Edelman in both of these offices. Beyond San Francisco and Seattle, as a Vice President you will collaborate with colleagues from Edelman's market leading health practice regionally and globally.
Some of the responsibilities of the Vice President include:
"Proven new business leader with demonstrated ability to research, pitch and win new clients and effectively grow existing relationships
"Lead the research, planning and development of comprehensive public relations programs
"Manage the overall quality of work on accounts by demonstrating professional and team leadership
"Have superior project management skills to help organize and direct team activities
"Manage day-to-day service and profitability of accounts
"Demonstrated critical thinker with a proven ability to leverage the firm's renowned IP (including our Health Engagement Barometer) for the benefit of business development and client relationships

"Demonstrate superior writing and editing skills on all tasks including press releases, plans, speeches, emails and pitch letters both formal and informal
"Develop network of industry clients; participate in relevant professional organizations
"Develop creative platform to increase effectiveness/impact of media and overall communications campaigns
Some of the qualifications we are seeking in a candidate
The Vice President should have at least ten years' public relations experience and a proven background in health communications, with people management, business development and budget management experience. The Vice President should have a bachelor's degree, a solid grasp of public relations tools, superior research, writing and editing skills. We're looking for someone who can generate creative ideas, provide client counsel and be a respected manager. The ideal candidate will be an experienced agency practitioner and a well connected thought leader within the healthcare industry.

QUALIFICATIONS: Qualifications:
*Candidates must have a solid understanding of user-centered design principles, careful attention to detail, as well as ability to grasp and handle multiple projects

*5-7 years experience as a key member of an interactive team participating in the complete product development life-cycle of several successfully launched Web products

*An online portfolio designed and programmed by you showing your skills - please be prepared to discuss your role/contributions on each project.
*Ability to design and produce directly in Flash a big plus

*Participate in program brainstorming, concept development, and design comps
*Create visual designs that address business, brand, market, and user requirements, including the design and production of site layouts, marketing elements, content treatment and user interface elements
*Produce design specifications, storyboards, wire frames to support design and production
*Successfully communicate (present) visual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of your design solutions
*Collaborate/manage agency team members from creative, account, development, client and PR teams across multiple offices
*Work with web developers and production to ensure successful delivery of the final work product
*Assist in project coordination across functional teams
*Participate in new business efforts, providing any assistance that would help award Edelman new work.
